  WISHING    Chris Groves
MUSIC and ENTERTAINMENT have always provided a means for people of all ages to socialise, relax, congregate, discuss and generally appreciate the efforts of others that they find pleasing to the eye and ear. The Internet and social media in particular now provide a platform to enable millions of listeners/viewers all over the world  to enjoy (or otherwise) our individual efforts.
Music production has changed over the years, most notably the move from analogue to digital recording and the fact that most people now have the ability to record and produce material of a very high standard in their own home using effects and techniques previously only available in hardware set-ups in top big city studios at considerable cost.
Initially some artists were critical of the digital results, feeling that the sound was too clinical and lacked the feel of the traditional tape recordings. However, this can now  be disguised by "humanising" any track to give it a more authentic feel.
Of course the software available today can easily correct less than perfect vocal renditions etc. but a musician still has to "produce the goods" when the red light comes on and the instrument comes alive in his/her hands.

SONGWRITING, for so long considered to be an activity only undertaken by the privileged, well connected few, has now become an artform practised by millions of people from all sorts of backgrounds.
Artists also soon realised that they were well capable of writing their own material and others with no aspirations to appear on stage themselves were also suddenly getting their work heard, considered and sometimes recorded by top artists.
The original compositions on this page are examples of what you could do by jotting down ideas for a song that come into your head. It's only a short step up from poetry  so give it a try and you'll be surprised at what you can create . . . .
